BagSelect.com is a brand-name bag distributor located right here in Chico, Ca. With over 15 name-brands and hundreds of different colors and styles to choose from, there is something for everybody at BagSelect. They have a strong reputation as a customer service oriented company, and we built them a robust, user-friendly ecommerce website to match their nack for satisfying their customers.

Website features

There are a number of stand-out features we implemented on this website, but I’m only going to outline a few of the coolest of them. We used Miva Merchant as our base ecommerce platform. Then we reorganized its link structure to allow for more user-friendly or otherwise “clean” urls. The platform also makes use of a significantly more robust product search that allows narrowing or broadening your search by price, keywords, exact phrase, and a few others as well as the ability to sort your results any way you like. Once you get to the product detail page, many of the products have multiple images including a close-up view as well as different angles and colors. Also on this page is a list of suggested products based on your buying habits as well as others. Because customer opinion is very important to Bagselect as well as other customers, website users with Bagselect accounts have the ability to rate any product on the site. Reviews are available to be read by any customer, whether they have an account or not.

Technical details

Bagselect.com was layed out in W3C-compliant HTML (4.01 Transitional) and then styled with W3C-Compliant CSS.
